Actress Ku Hye-sun has delivered additional comments regarding the hypocrisy controversy.
On the 9th, Ku Hye-sun added an additional post on her social media account regarding a post she made on the 8th, stating, "This post is a statement about events that occurred following an agreement with my ex-spouse. I regret that reports linking the conflicts before the agreement with this post misrepresent the facts."
Earlier, Ku Hye-sun mentioned her ex-husband Ahn Jae-hyun in a statement, saying, "I think repeatedly leading to label me with '5 years of divorce' in the news headlines is not correct journalism ethics. There were conflicting claims during my divorce process with my ex-spouse, and if an agreement was reached without determining the truth, it can be seen as an implicit promise and a moral duty, even if it is not a genuine reconciliation between the parties."
Ku Hye-sun stated, "Despite the divorce process with my ex-spouse being very unpleasant, the continuous and indirect mentions and comments that can imply me as a party within the same industry are cowardly acts (engaging in statements that straddle truth and joke). I hope those who create various provocative gossip programs realize that asking leading questions or offering condolences on this matter is an act of secondary harm to the person who is my ex-spouse and causes significant pain."
She added, "I am a person who is clumsy at expressing my feelings by shedding tears or verbally. Nevertheless, I am not without emotions. I earnestly hope everyone understands that no one in this world has the right to ridicule me, the party involved, to provide enjoyment to the public."
Ku Hye-sun and Ahn Jae-hyun connected through the KBS2 drama 'Blood' in 2015 and married in 2016, but their marriage troubles came to light due to Ku Hye-sun's revelations, leading to their divorce in 2020.
