Goo Hye-sun expressed her discomfort regarding the 'divorce consumption' in various media, including Ahn Jae-hyun.
On the 8th, Goo Hye-sun posted a lengthy message on her social media, saying, "I believe that repeatedly leading the fixation of 'five years of divorce' as a news headline is not proper journalistic ethics."
She mentioned Ahn Jae-hyun, saying, "There were conflicting claims during my divorce process with my former spouse, and if we reached a conclusion without questioning the truth, it may not be a sincere reconciliation between the parties, but it can also be seen as an implicit promise and a duty as humans."
She continued, "Despite the very unpleasant divorce process with my former spouse, the consistent and indirect mentions and remarks that can be inferred to refer to me as a party involved in the same industry (the act of constantly making remarks that tread the fine line between truth and joke) is cowardly," adding, "I hope the people creating various sensational gossip programs realize that asking leading questions or offering comfort regarding this matter is an act of secondary harm to the individual who is the former spouse and inflicts great emotional pain."
Additionally, Goo Hye-sun emphasized, "I am not someone who is good at expressing my difficulty through tears or words. However, I am not an emotionless person either. I earnestly hope that no one in this world has the right to mock me, the party involved, in order to provide enjoyment to the public."
Meanwhile, Goo Hye-sun's divorce from Ahn Jae-hyun was legally finalized in July 2020 after a mediation agreement.

Divorce is inherently a selfish and difficult process since it involves claiming each party's damages. However, despite the very unpleasant divorce process with my former spouse, the consistent and indirect mentions and remarks that can be inferred to refer to me as a party involved in the same industry (the act of constantly making remarks that tread the fine line between truth and joke) is cowardly. I hope those creating various sensational gossip programs realize that asking leading questions or offering comfort regarding this matter inflicts great emotional pain and constitutes secondary harm to the individual who is the former spouse. I wish for a conscience to exist in entertainment programs. Even if it is just a joke for fun, if it causes enough discomfort to the party involved, I believe it should be stopped immediately. I am not good at expressing my difficulty through tears or words. However, I am not an emotionless person. I earnestly hope that no one in this world has the right to mock me, the party involved, to provide enjoyment to the public.
