KG of JYP's global girl group VCHA is leaving the team.
JYP Entertainment stated on the 8th, "JYP America and KG Crown have mutually agreed to terminate the existing contract as members of VCHA" and noted, "We decided to support each other's futures."
VCHA is a six-member girl group formed through the American audition project 'A2K (America2Korea)' that aired in 2023. JYP officially debuted the group in January of last year in collaboration with Republic Records, a label under Universal Music in the U.S.
However, in December of last year, member KG announced her departure from the team via social media and filed a lawsuit for contract termination. Subsequently, another member, Kaylee, also stated she would be finishing her activities with VCHA.
Meanwhile, VCHA's Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savannah are rebranding as 'GIRLSET' and are set to target the global music market with a new leap.
