In an episode aired on the 8th of Channel A's 'Recent Parenting - My Precious Child', the story of 'a late-born 5th-grade son who ignores his mother's presence' was revealed.
That day, Geumjok not only ignored what his mother said but also showed signs of distancing. Geumjok held his mother's hand on the way to the supermarket, but as soon as they entered, he began to be aware of his surroundings.
Geumjok said, "Can we just spread out and meet up later? It's a bit embarrassing to be with Mom," and then complained, "Mom's voice is louder than singing. Everyone is staring at us." In the end, Geumjok moved away and called his dad, saying, "No, I'm embarrassed, I want to leave quickly. I don't want to be here. It's really embarrassing in front of people."

Meanwhile, concerning behaviors were also found in Geumjok's mother. Instead of praising Geumjok for getting 90 out of 100 points, she pointed out even a single mistake. In response, Dr. Oh Eun-young said, "From what I understand, the mother is someone who has no acceptance and many demands. From the child's perspective, it's excessive intervention, meddling, and nagging," adding, "The child thinks they're being attacked, so they, too, attack."
Additionally, the mother was seen obsessively following her son while he did his homework. Upset by him secretly playing games, the mother nagged him, and Geumjok covered his ears during their argument. Mother and son clash once again.
Afterwards, the mother had a conversation on the phone with her husband in front of Geumjok, leading to a heated argument. Dr. Oh Eun-young, who looked particularly serious, remarked, "I don't think the mother will change much. I'm sorry. That's why I'm becoming serious now. I'm very worried. The mother won't change unless she deeply understands herself. She seems to think that 'excessive control' is love. The mother admitted, "Since he is my son, my child, there are things I control," and Dr. Oh Eun-young stated, "That thought is frightening. In the end, there is nothing that can be overlooked. For every single word the child says, if it's not to the mother's thinking, then she immediately intervenes to guide and correct it right away; otherwise, she thinks, 'This isn't love for my child; it's irresponsible.'"
