Actress Goo Hye-sun has once again targeted her ex-husband Ahn Jae-hyun five years after their divorce.
Goo Hye-sun and Ahn Jae-hyun met through the 2015 drama Blood and married in 2016, receiving much love. In particular, they gained attention as a 'real couple' by sharing their daily lives through Na Young-seok's reality show Newlywed Diary. However, in 2019, their conflicts were exposed following Goo Hye-sun's revelations, leading to a fierce war of truths, and their legal divorce was finalized in July the following year.
Afterwards, both focused on their activities in their respective areas. Following her divorce from Ahn Jae-hyun, Goo Hye-sun devoted herself to her studies, graduating as the top student from Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in visual studies. She then entered the graduate school of science journalism at KAIST to continue her master's studies. Additionally, she garnered attention as a businesswoman by obtaining a patent for her self-invented 'hair roll.'
Ahn Jae-hyun has also made a comeback to broadcasting through dramas and variety shows. Recently, he has been meeting viewers via the KBS 2TV variety show Heart on Wheels.
However, on the 8th, Goo Hye-sun unexpectedly posted a message on her social media that seemed to target Ahn Jae-hyun, capturing attention. She noted, 'I believe that constantly leading the charge to brand '5 years since our divorce' as a news headline is not correct journalistic ethics.' She continued, 'There were conflicting claims during the process of my divorce with my ex-spouse, and ultimately, if we reached an agreement without establishing the truth, that matter—though it may not represent a genuine reconciliation between the parties—can be seen as an implicit promise and a moral obligation as a human being.'
She added, 'Despite the unfavorable circumstances of the divorce process with my ex-spouse, the continuous and indirect references and remarks that could imply my identity as a party in the same industry are cowardly actions that straddle between sincerity and jest.' She emphasized that various provocative gossip programs asking leading questions or offering consolation are actions that constitute secondary harm to my ex-spouse and are deeply hurtful.
Additionally, Goo Hye-sun stated, 'I am a person who struggles to express my emotions, often shedding tears or verbalizing my difficulties. Nevertheless, I am not devoid of feelings.' She expressed, 'I earnestly wish that no one in this world has the right to mock me, the party involved, for the sake of providing joy to the public.'
Despite Goo Hye-sun's public criticism, public sentiment remains cold. It has been revealed that Ahn Jae-hyun has never directly addressed the divorce through variety shows, while Goo Hye-sun has also indirectly discussed the divorce through entertainment programs, which has instead backfired.
As both parties, who were once the focus of the 'public marriage' and 'public divorce' hype five years ago, find themselves back in the spotlight, attention is drawn to whether this matter will lead to another conflict.
