Actor Park Si-hoo strongly refuted allegations that he facilitated a meeting for a married man, contributing significantly to a family breakdown. Park stated he would take legal action regarding the allegations, and an associate expressed anger, saying it was an intention to 'kill' the actor.
The 'sudden' infidelity facilitation suspicion regarding Park began on the 5th when influencer A posted on her social media account, 'Hey, Si-hoo. When my family lived in UN Village, you used to call me sister-in-law. Introducing a woman to Mr. Hwang started from 2020.'
A revealed some messages that were suspected to have been exchanged between her husband and Park, tagging Park's account and saying, 'You should have kept it reasonable. Connecting a woman to the father of your child, taking a significant role in a family breakdown,' and 'Are you going to keep being a TikTok host? I have call recordings too. You said you were going to be in a drama this time? Congratulations. I do have a gift for you! Sue me. I've lost my child and have nothing else to lose. I have nothing left except my house and car, right?'
In 2013, Park Si-hoo faced a crisis of being expelled from the entertainment industry due to allegations of sexual assault. At that time, a rookie actress claimed she was assaulted by Park, leading to increased controversy, but the case concluded with the withdrawal of the complaint and a decision by the prosecutor not to prosecute after four months of investigation and back-and-forth. However, Park, who could not engage as actively as before due to this incident, found the current 'infidelity facilitation suspicion' to be a heavy blow.
While Park Si-hoo remained silent about the infidelity facilitation allegations, A's ex-husband stepped forward. He claimed he was only an acquaintance of Park and that he had never introduced a woman. He stated that the account number mentioned in the text belonged to Park's mother and that the photo of the woman was one he sent. Notably, the ex-husband pointed out that he divorced A six years ago and suspected that mentioning Park, who has no connection to the situation, was for the purpose of demanding money.
The woman A pointed to as the alleged infidelity target, B, also stepped forward. B stated in response to A's post, 'I have no prior acquaintance with the individuals mentioned in this post,' adding, 'Using my photo without permission and disseminating false information is clearly defamation. I have suffered misunderstandings and harm due to this. I have completed capturing and preserving evidence, and if immediate deletion and correction are not made, I will consider legal action.'
Furthermore, Park Si-hoo broke his silence. A representative from his agency, Hoof Factory, stated, 'We clarify that the claim that actor Park Si-hoo introduced a woman to a married man and contributed significantly to a family breakdown is completely false. We will take prompt actions regarding this matter,' and emphasized, 'We are preparing legal measures, including an application for mediation with the Korea Media Arbitration Commission and a defamation lawsuit against the party who posted false information.'
Additionally, 'There have been findings of acts disseminating unverified false information about Park Si-hoo or posting malicious slander. We are collecting evidence, and we will pursue legal actions, including criminal complaints regarding these actions. Considering the significant impact these illegal acts may have on the actor, there will be no leniency,' it added.
An associate of Park Si-hoo expressed anger. In a phone call with OSEN, the associate said, '(The allegation of facilitating an affair) is baseless and mostly one-sided claims from the accuser,' and added, 'Since the revelation, I have not been in contact with the accuser's ex-husband, who is on friendly terms with Park, but that person clarified in an interview with a media outlet that he has no connection to Park. It is hard to understand how someone would break into a home and steal a phone to reveal its contents. I don't know if this is to demand money, but from Park's perspective, it must be quite embarrassing.'
In particular, the associate expressed frustration, saying, 'What kind of grudge could Park Si-hoo have against his former sister-in-law? This kind of revelation only seems to be aimed at killing the actor.'
Meanwhile, Park Si-hoo recently appeared on TV CHOSUN's entertainment show 'Dad and Me' and is set to release the drama 'Mentalist,' which was filmed in 2021.
