Kim Ye-rim, a former member of Red Velvet, shared a story about her rebellious behavior during her time as an idol trainee.

In the video, Kim Ye-rim recounted how she tried to maintain loyalty with the trainees she practiced with when she joined Red Velvet, stating, "I got a lot of criticism for telling that story. They said, 'Who are you to talk about that?' I wonder what gave me the nerve to say that. After dropping out of middle school, I took the GED and went on to a practical arts high school before debuting, but my trainee friends felt like friends from school days, and we are still getting along very well now. We often talk about those times like it was really a military experience, where the seniors would leave food behind and we would eat it secretly."
Kim Ye-rim also shared anecdotes from her time as a trainee. She mentioned, "At that time, honey bread was popular, and I would go eat it before work, which started around 10 a.m. I would find a café that opened early and eat before going to work. There was also a family restaurant in front of the agency, and I would rally my trainee friends to take them there every morning before work. My friends followed me well, but since the agency wanted me to grow taller, they sent me to places like a spinal hospital, and we would order pizza there. I was always scolded for eating too much."
Kim Ye-rim continued, "I used to eat a lot before going to work and then practice. I had to weigh myself every day, but maybe because I was young, the weight came off quickly. I thought it was a game. I don't do that now." Hyeri added, "Since we weren't allowed to eat, Yura would pretend to look in the mirror while sneaking snacks, and Manneji would eat secretly while driving," forming a bond over their experiences as idols.
