Tablo of the group Epik High has completed the 2025 version of the 'legendary meme,' shedding past pains.
Epik High (Tablo, Mithra, Tukutz) unveiled a video titled 'Aren't you working on YouTube? Why haven't you sent the gold button?' through their official YouTube channel 'EPIKASE' on the 7th.
Having achieved 1 million subscribers and picked up the gold button from YouTube headquarters, Epik High decided to visit Tablo's alma mater, Stanford, before heading to their accommodation. Tablo vehemently opposed, but was persuaded by the members' remarks, 'Aren't you going to feel disappointed if we don't go there?' Even in the car on the way, he lamented, 'I really attended there,' and 'How many times do I need to prove this?' which elicited laughter.
The reason Tukutz and Mithra were headed to Stanford was to completely heal Tablo's 'academic fraud controversy.' The intent was to create a scene from the documentary that covered Tablo's academic controversy revealed 15 years ago into a 2025 version, allowing them to perfectly shed the scars. Upon hearing this, Tablo's complaints subsided, and upon arriving at his alma mater, he guided the members with familiarity.
Arriving at the spot where Tablo said, 'It's not that I don't believe, but that I won't believe,' Epik High moved to take a photo in the same frame as back then. Tukutz demonstrated meticulous preparation, even preparing the outfit that Tablo wore at that time. In response, Tablo exclaimed, 'This is really garbage,' and 'I've never seen anyone prepare so diligently for anything,' shaking his head in disbelief.
Tablo took a bright smile photo against what is called the 'Crying Tree,' shedding his pains. After completing the photo for the 2025 version, Epik High embraced each other for comfort, and Tablo's eyes were moist, drawing attention. In the midst of this, Tukutz made Tablo's smiling photo his currency screen and tried to register the 'Crying Tree' on Google Maps, bringing about laughter.
After receiving the gold button and visiting Stanford, Epik High returned to their accommodation, relishing their joy as they climbed to first place on the ranking. Tablo expressed, 'It's not important to be first or last. What matters is that we do our best,' displaying humility while unable to hide his delight.
