Model Han Hye-jin revealed the pitfalls of living in a standalone house in Hongcheon.
Han Hye-jin posted a video titled 'Hongcheon failed house… I will give an honest review' on her personal YouTube channel on the 7th.
In the released video, Han Hye-jin shared her joys and sorrows of living in a standalone house for three years located in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province. On that day, Han Hye-jin noted, "There are many problems. There are so many corners where it's inconvenient and the house was built poorly during my time living here."
He explained, "I had no background knowledge since I had lived in APT. after building the house. Although the design was revised many times over 6 months, it's different once you actually live in it."
The biggest problem was the location of the north-facing main entrance. He emphasized, "People assume this (side entrance) is the main entrance. It's an enormous failure point." He continued, "This door is the side entrance. Since I parked the car here, I couldn't go around to the main entrance to take things, so I tried to shorten the pathway to the kitchen. We wanted guests to arrive elegantly along the path, but it was a tremendous failure. Few people enter through the (main entrance)."
In particular, Han Hye-jin stated, "Originally, the idea was to park the car and enter elegantly along a long pathway, but because of the wall, nothing of the view can be seen. I had originally left this area for landscaping, but it looks like this." as she pointed to the empty landscaping at the main entrance.
He said, "It's the main entrance after slightly going up the stairs, and even the production team saw it for the first time. The main entrance is north-facing, facing the sunny direction with a gabled roof. In winter, when the snow accumulates on the north side and the temperature rises slightly, it falls heavily. Snow and water mix and freeze like glaciers, completely blocking the entrance." He added with a smile, "If I think about it now, I would like to place the house slightly counterclockwise when entering. That way, some sunlight would come in, and it would be better in the sunlight even at an angle."
