Park Se-ri has obtained the title of Director General of Channel A's 'Queen of Baseball.'
The new entertainment program 'Queen of Baseball,' which will air in November on Channel A, features female 'legendary athletes' from various sports who are challenging the unfamiliar stage of 'baseball.' Female cast members, who have backgrounds as athletes and are unfamiliar with baseball rules, will join a newly formed women's baseball team and engage in intense training filled with blood, sweat, and dirt before participating in real matches. This much-anticipated project is directed by Shin Jae-ho, who also directed Channel A's franchise entertainment show 'Steel Unit W,' along with writer Kang Suk-kyung, who has worked on 'Steel Unit W,' 'Physical 100' seasons 1 and 2, signaling the birth of a trustworthy female sports narrative.
As the Director General of the 'Queen of Baseball,' the icon of challenge and success, Park Se-ri, has been appointed, who wrote a global myth in the late 1990s with 'golf' as a 'national hero.' Director General Park will serve as the overall manager of the new baseball team, overseeing player recruitment, providing comprehensive support for the team members, including mental management. Above all, Park decided to create the team to support her junior athletes in their 'second lives' and accepted the role after careful consideration to properly explore the unknown field of 'women's baseball,' drawing significant attention to Director General Park Se-ri's new challenge.
The production team of 'Queen of Baseball' stated, 'The all-time legend Park Se-ri will take on the role of the spiritual supporter of the women's baseball team and will diligently carry out her responsibilities as the overall manager of the team formation and player composition.' They added, 'With the baseball craze that ushered in an era of 10 million spectators in professional baseball, women's baseball is also showing rapid growth, and the growth stories of the legendary female athletes will provide thrilling dopamine and beautiful emotions, so we ask for much expectation and interest.'
With the combination of Director General Park Se-ri and Manager Choo Shin-soo, 'Queen of Baseball' on Channel A, which signals the dawn of a new female sports narrative, will premiere in November.
