In the 27th episode of 'I Am SOLO,' Sang-cheol declared his determination to pursue Ok-soon after contemplating between Jeong-sook and Ok-soon all night.
On the broadcast aired on the 6th of ENA and SBS Plus's reality dating program 'I Am SOLO' (hereafter 'I Am SOLO'), a date matched by the choices of the 27th solo women was depicted.
Earlier, Sang-cheol had been torn between Ok-soon and Jeong-sook. After a night of contemplation, he revealed in a conversation with Yeong-su the next morning, "Jeong-sook is fun for everyone, but it seems like everyone is the same." In contrast, regarding Ok-soon, he noted, "She's quite calm, but also fun, and it doesn't seem like she acts that way with everyone," showing a determination towards Ok-soon.
Before the women's choice, Sang-cheol expressed that he wanted to go on a date with Ok-soon once more. He explained, "The comfort of being with her was very nice. There was a lot of excitement, and it felt like a happy daily life while eating hot pot. Although Jeong-sook is popular, I didn't feel the same excitement that surpassed that while talking with Ok-soon."
Meanwhile, Sang-cheol had a one-on-many date after being selected by both Ok-soon and Jeong-sook. Jeong-sook said, "As time passed, I realized that the person I felt nervous or excited around was Sang-cheol. I don't know why. Why is that?"
Ok-soon then stated, "I will consider my choice until today. Sang-cheol has known my feelings from the start, so if this hesitation continues until today, it might mean I am not destined to be with him. A prolonged contemplation feels like ambiguous feelings."
However, Sang-cheol seemed resolute as he paid attention to Ok-soon throughout the date. Noticing this, Jeong-sook remarked in an interview, "I could subtly feel a sense of guilt from him and the attention directed towards Ok-soon. At first, I wondered what was going on, and when I heard that Ok-soon tied her hair, I realized that noticing the difference between tied and loose hair itself demonstrated interest. Realizing that difference also indicates interest. It's a bit disheartening as I come to understand more."
In contrast, Ok-soon, who was completely unaware, said, "I just wasn't thinking about it at all. I thought my relationship with Jeong-sook was significant, so I focused on what I needed to do." Regarding this, Defconn analyzed, "She doesn't seem to catch hints. It seems that Ok-soon's personality is such that she needs to hear things directly to make decisions."
After the date, Jeong-sook expressed, "I felt very uncomfortable. I felt like I was an unwelcome guest, and regardless of what Sang-cheol was feeling, I was going to do what I wanted. But seeing the two of them being so certain and firm made me feel bad, as well as Sang-cheol and Ok-soon."
She then added, "I definitely felt that I shouldn't pursue him any further. I wanted to deny this situation, but it was actually good. It allowed me to sort out my feelings and not interfere with anyone else." Seeing this, Defconn remarked, "Jeong-sook is now entering the free agency market. There won't be any regrets as men will be lining up for her."
Later, Sang-cheol conveyed his feelings to Ok-soon, saying, "Yesterday, drinking soju here felt like such a peaceful part of my daily life." A surprised Ok-soon asked, "What do you think would have happened if I had gone elsewhere?" Sang-cheol replied, "It doesn't matter where I go, I'm set on pursuing you. I should have said this first thing this morning."
To this, Ok-soon responded, "You're a villain. A dodger," stating, "I thought you weren't in the common living area, so I interpreted it as an unspoken rejection. Then, since there was nothing else, I was going to give up as well." However, she expressed in an interview, "I was genuinely surprised and felt, 'Wow, amazing.' Since Sang-cheol has chosen me, I think we will have many serious discussions about marriage."
