The members of the group ILLIT are taking on their first sitcom role since their debut.
ILLIT (Yoona, Minju, Mocha, Wonhee, Iroha) unveiled the second teaser for their new self-produced content 'Genres are ILLIT - Introduction to Youth' (hereafter 'Genres are ILLIT') on the team's official YouTube channel on the 6th.
'Genres are ILLIT' is a sitcom that captures the story of five members who transform into freshmen at ILLIT University, showcasing their youthful appearance while depicting the unique experiences of their lives.
The teaser video released that day is short but prominently features the distinctive personalities of the five characters. Yoona transforms into a theater and film student armed with overflowing passion and cheerfulness, Minju becomes a sports science student with a burning competitive spirit, and Mocha is perfectly transformed into a law student who excels academically. Additionally, Wonhee portrays an art student with a quirky charm, while Iroha captivates as an early childhood education student who, despite lacking aggressiveness, expresses herself candidly.
The atmosphere among the group gathered for a project presentation is tense. Yoona and Minju compete to present, while Mocha quickly mediates. As a result, conflicts arise among the five, building anticipation for the main episode.
ILLIT has previously showcased their entertaining skits through their own content, so there is keen interest in what kind of performances they will deliver in this sitcom. The visuals of the members presenting campus looks that fit their characters, such as pure and chic styles, add to the viewing pleasure.
The first episode of 'Genres are ILLIT' will be released on the 11th at 8 p.m. on the team's official YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will hold a fan concert '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN' on the 10th and 11th at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, where they will meet with fans. They previously sold out all regular reserved seats, proving their hot popularity in the region. They will also release their first single in Japan, 'Toki Yo Tomare' (original title 時よ止まれ/토키 요 토마레) on September 1.
