Kwon Yul shared his chemistry with the members of 'Walking Gourmet.'
On July 7, the production presentation of Channel S's new entertainment show 'Walking Gourmet' took place at Namsan Soweol Tower in Seoul. Actors Kwon Yul, WOOJIN, and Lee Jung-shin of CNBLUE attended the event.
Channel S and SK Broadband jointly produced the visually delightful 'handsome' eating show 'Walking Gourmet,' which is a culinary exploration program that exclusively seeks out hidden local eateries unknown to tourists through 'footwork.'
'Walking Gourmet,' which was presented as a pilot in 2023 and received overwhelming support from domestic and international viewers, has returned as a regular season after two years.
Kwon Yul, who joined the regular lineup after the pilot, commented on being with the new members, saying, "Actually, I was a bit worried. The average height of the two is very tall. I'm not short, but those two friends have such giant heights. I was concerned that I might come off as a little kid in the middle, so I told the stylist to prepare heels. However, since I need to walk around, I wondered if heels would be too much, and I decided to lean on the two of them for support," drawing laughter.
He continued, "I thought at first whether WOOJIN and Jung-shin could join, but seeing them, they do so well, sharing various stories and thoughts through food, I thought, 'This time I need to be lifted by the big ones.'"
He also emphasized the differences from the pilot, saying, "Since I already experienced my role in the previous season. WOOJIN called me producer, and since I am in a position of experience, I seemed to have taken on the communication role with the production crew. To find balance in discovering new food and places, I exercised 'horizontal leadership' rather than being an older brother."
He added, "It became so horizontal that I wondered if I did the right thing. Jung-shin hit my thigh to get my attention, and I thought, 'Can you hit like that?' showing how horizontal the atmosphere was," and he laughed while saying, "At that time, I wondered whether to change to a vertical approach, but I wanted to maintain a good atmosphere."
