(Following Interview ②) Eve, a member of I-DLE, shared behind-the-scenes details about her collaboration with British artist PinkPantheress.
Eve will release her third EP 'Soft Error' on the 7th at noon through various music streaming sites. 'Soft Error' refers to something that appears fine on the surface but is broken inside. She has infused a total of 6 songs with her various emotions, including the double title tracks 'White Cat' and 'Soap (feat. PinkPantheress)'.
'Soft Error' showcases Eve's challenge of various genres and proves her wide spectrum. The double title track 'White Cat' evokes a floating sensation based on electronic pop, while the other double title track 'Soap (feat. PinkPantheress)' portrays the remnants of dulled emotions centered around a Miami bass drum line.
When asked about the behind-the-scenes of her collaboration with PinkPantheress, who is currently receiving explosive support from Gen Z, Eve noted in an interview at a cafe in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, "I started with the house genre from my debut song, and she was already famous in that scene, so I gained a lot of inspiration from her."
She continued, "I had a vague desire to work together, but fans kept telling me 'Please collaborate with Eve,' so I became aware of her existence. After that, there was a connection, and in a way, it was thanks to the fans that we were able to collaborate."
Additionally, Mexican indie pop emerging artist Braty participated in the featuring. When asked about the opportunity to collaborate with global artists, she explained, "I wanted to add a bit more diversity to the album. When I made my comeback, I hoped that the collaborating artists would be unexpected for the fans. While it is nice to fill everything with my voice, I wanted to harmonize with various people, which is why I decided to collaborate."
In particular, when asked about the response she is most looking forward to in this activity, Eve expressed, "The featuring artists are all quite famous, so I hope the fans enjoy it a lot. I also hope the featured artists are satisfied. Just like how the fans connected PinkPantheress and me, I hope this leads to opportunities to work with other wonderful artists."
