TV personality Kim Byung-man is discussing his appearance with his fiancée, whom he is set to remarry, on "Love Fool of Joseon," while his agency has denied rumors of extramarital children.
On July 7, various reports emerged regarding Kim Byung-man's private life, ranging from news of his discussions on co-starring with his fiancée in a variety show to allegations of two children he has with her, raising suspicions of extramarital children.
It all began with news of Kim Byung-man's grant on TV Chosun's variety show "Love Fool of Joseon." On that day, a media outlet reported that Kim Byung-man would join "Love Fool of Joseon." The TV Chosun side stated to OSEN that the matter is "under discussion."
"Love Fool of Joseon" is an ultra-realistic documentary variety show that presents the tumultuous love stories of various love fools as they are. Various late marriage stars, including actors Choi Seong-guk and Shim Hyung-tak, have revealed their love stories on "Love Fool of Joseon," and the participation of Kim Byung-man, who has been extremely cautious about revealing his private life, has sparked curiosity.
However, on the same day, suspicions about Kim Byung-man's extramarital children also arose. The adopted daughter of Kim Byung-man's ex-wife claimed that there are two children between Kim Byung-man and his fiancée, and asserted there is a high possibility that they are extramarital children, filing a lawsuit to confirm the existence of their biological relationship.
Kim Byung-man married his ex-wife, a non-celebrity 7 years older than him, in 2011, but announced their divorce in 2023, 12 years later. Kim Byung-man's side countered that A had falsely accused him, claiming that she sought to avoid dividing assets in her name and demanded 3 billion won, conditional upon the resignation of her daughter from Kim Byung-man's family registry. During this process, it was revealed that A had taken out dozens of life insurance policies in Kim Byung-man's name, shocking many.
In the midst of this, A's daughter filed for confirmation of the biological relationship with Kim Byung-man, ahead of the third resignation lawsuit ruling set for the 8th. She requested a DNA test order, citing significant interests related to inheritance regarding the two children with Kim Byung-man's new wife.
Kim Byung-man's side strongly denied this. A representative from his side told OSEN, "We have not yet received notification regarding the lawsuit that A's daughter has filed regarding inheritance, so we cannot confirm its validity at this moment."
Above all, regarding the two children with his remarried wife, "Kim Byung-man is set to marry on September 20, and he has had two children with his fiancée after the breakdown of his marriage," he emphasized. It was clarified that since they were children born after the breakdown of his marriage with his ex-wife, they are not extramarital children born from an inappropriate relationship.
