Actress Bae Seul-ki is taking on a challenge in a short drama.
Bae Seul-ki has been cast in the short drama 'Lady Boss Return' produced by Ridi (directed by Jeong Heon-soo, written by Moon Jeong-yeon and Hwang Suk-mi, produced by Ridi, STUDIO DAL).
In this work, Bae Seul-ki will play the role of 'Kang Mi-jin', the daughter of a conglomerate family and the representative of DS Capital. She will deliver a strong performance as a character filled with arrogance and a thirst for power, embarking on a new acting transformation.
'Lady Boss Return' is a revenge drama that follows a woman on the brink of death as she returns to 20 years ago to transform from a conglomerate's hunting dog into a true boss. She pairs up with actors Kwak Si-yang and Lee El-lyah. The narrative promises a tension-filled development centered around the intense conflicts of characters with different desires and secrets.
The character 'Kang Mi-jin' that Bae Seul-ki will portray is a person who has enjoyed the power of a conglomerate backed by a strong background. She appears as the daughter of the DS Group and the representative of its financial subsidiary. Despite her glamorous exterior, she is a controversial figure who shakes the company with her abuses of power and various scandals. She stands in opposition to 'Choi Joo-yeon' (Lee El-lyah), finding herself at the center of the main conflicts and revenge drama within the story.
Bae Seul-ki expressed her affection for the project, saying, "I had a joyful and happy filming experience aligning with a good director and great fellow actors," and added, "As I prepared hard for a different character transformation, I ask for your expectations and support."
Bae Seul-ki has recently been active in various works such as ENA's 'Battle of Happiness', KBS2's 'OA', SBS's 'Amor Party', and MBC's 'Life or Death Romance', and it is expected that through 'Lady Boss Return', she will once again prove her deep emotion and wide acting spectrum.
'Lady Boss Return' is set to be released on the Ridi short drama platform Kanta, with detailed scheduling to be confirmed later.
Meanwhile, Bae Seul-ki married Sim Li-seop, who runs the YouTube channel 'Rise TV,' in August 2020. The couple embraced their son last October, with Bae Seul-ki returning just 10 months after childbirth.
