Actor Jung Il-woo has made a return to acting after three years through "Our Golden Days."
On the 6th, a production presentation for the new KBS2 weekend drama "Our Golden Days" (written by So Hyun-kyeong and directed by Kim Hyung-seok) was held at The Saint in Sindorim-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul.
"Our Golden Days" tells the story that "everyone has golden days. Whether now, from the past, or in the future, we encounter golden days that hold different meanings." Director Kim Hyung-seok, who directed "Oh My Venus," "My Golden Life," and "If You Cheat, You Die," and writer So Hyun-kyeong, who wrote "My Daughter Seo-young," "Two Weeks," "Second 20s," and "My Golden Life," have once again teamed up since "My Golden Life."
Jung Il-woo, who is making his return to the screen after about three years since the ENA drama "Good Job," greets home viewers with his first appearance in a KBS weekend drama. He plays the role of Lee Ji-hyuk, a competent individual recognized in all aspects of work and love. Although he has a proactive and cool personality, he also has a sense of humor. He appears glamorous on the surface but seeks the true meaning of life by overcoming trials after experiencing the lows in life.
Jung Il-woo, who is appearing in his first KBS weekend drama after his debut, faces a significant burden as his previous work "For Eagle Brothers" ended with a viewership rating exceeding 20%. Jung Il-woo said, "I feel gratitude rather than pressure since the previous work did well. I will continue the good energy. Returning to KBS after 16 years has its burdens, and after three years of absence, my desire for acting has grown. I have a connection with writer So Hyun-kyeong through the work "49 Days," and I am putting my all into filming as I received a great proposal for this project."
He added, "I believe the synchronization rate has increased a lot while examining the character and script structure considered by the director and writer. Right now, I am acting as Lee Ji-hyuk, and I hope viewers will watch and judge it."
The new KBS2 weekend drama "Our Golden Days" will premiere on the evening of the 9th at 8 p.m.
