Actor Lee Joo-bin transforms into an angel of the zodiac in 'Twelve.'
On the 6th, the production team of the new KBS 2TV weekend mini-series 'Twelve' (directed by Kang Dae-kyu and Han Yoon-sun) released still cuts of Lee Joo-bin.
'Twelve' is a series inspired by the 12 zodiac signs of Tongyang, depicting a battle against evil forces by 12 angels living in human form to protect humanity. It is highly anticipated as a K-action hero series that will captivate viewers with exciting and refreshing fun this summer.
Among them, Lee Joo-bin plays the character 'Mir,' symbolizing a dragon, showing deeper gazes and diverse emotions, hinting at another life character milestone. His character poster and stills have been released.
Lee Joo-bin, who has shown her own unique colors in every work, including the movie 'The Outlaws 4,' the drama 'Queen of Tears,' and the series 'Money Heist: Joint Economic Area,' embarks on a new challenge as the angel 'Mir,' symbolizing a dragon, in 'Twelve.' Lee Joo-bin noted, "The traditional and fantastical worldview and characters were intriguing, and stories that can only be told in Korea were especially appealing," enhancing expectations for her participation.
The 'Mir' played by Lee Joo-bin is a character who has the ability to sense impending threats through prophetic dreams, while also harboring the pain of living apart from others to protect them. Additionally, 'Mir's special powers were sealed due to a battle with evil spirits thousands of years ago.
In this regard, Lee Joo-bin said, "It was difficult to express because it's a being that does not exist in reality among numerous animals. The mystical image is strong, so I tried to convey the feeling in my gaze," carefully portraying the inner side of 'Mir' while capturing delicate nuances of emotions. The uniquely restrained and soft movements emphasizing Tongyang lines are expected to be another fun point.
The released character poster and stills of 'Mir' visually reveal the character's identity and symbolism by adding a pattern that symbolizes dragon scales inside the character's name in Hanja, 'Jin (辰).' The blue trench coat also hints at the dragon's spirit, completing a mystical and dreamlike atmosphere. Lee Joo-bin, who is set to deliver a performance perfectly blended with the character of 'Mir,' will add persuasiveness to the original worldview of 'Twelve' and enhance immersion. The secrets held by the dragon angel 'Mir,' who possesses sealed powers, and the impact of her existence on future developments are anticipated.
'Twelve' will premiere on the 23rd on Disney+ and KBS 2TV.
