On the 6th, Jung Tae-woo posted a message on his social media account story saying, "I sent off Young-kyu well. Please pray for the family left behind," along with a photo.
The released photo contained the remains of the late Song Young-kyu. He was found dead inside a vehicle in an unspecified location in Cheoin District, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, around 8 a.m. on the 4th, at the age of 55.
Jung Tae-woo publicly shared a photo from the late Song Young-kyu's funeral, expressing his grief by saying, "Young-kyu, my dear Young-kyu. You expressed your love for others often. I love you."
The late Song Young-kyu was caught driving under the influence around 5 kilometers in a drunken state in the Giheung District of Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, on the night of June 19, about a month before his death. Police were dispatched following a witness report, and his blood alcohol content was at a level that would result in a license cancellation (0.08% or higher). As a result, he was edited out of ongoing shows including the SBS drama "Try: We Become a Miracle" and the ENA drama "The Defects," and had to withdraw from the play "Shakespeare in Love."
The late Song Young-kyu passed away on the 6th, during a funeral service held in his honor. Those who worked closely with him, including Lee Jong-hyuk, Lee Jae-yong, Song Il-gook, Jo Woo-jin, Jung Sung-il, Choi Won-young, and Lee Gyu-hyung, mourned and accompanied him on his final journey.
