Park Bom's side has opened up regarding the end of 2NE1's activities.
On the 6th, a representative from Park Bom's agency, DNation Entertainment, said to OSEN, "Park Bom has decided to end her activities. Recently, after consulting with medical staff, it was determined that she needs sufficient rest and stability, and thus she has made the difficult decision to end her activities."
Regarding the scope of the end of 2NE1's activities, Park Bom's side stated, "currently means only the scheduled engagements. There has been no decision regarding future group activities. For now, we will do our best for the artist's health recovery."
Furthermore, they explained that "detailed matters regarding her return to activities will be announced separately in consultation with YG as her health improves."
Earlier that day, the agency communicated through their official SNS that "Park Bom will not be participating in 2NE1's future schedules. As many fans are supporting the group activities, it weighs heavily on us to deliver this news."
The reason for the suspension of activities is cited as "health reasons." They added, "We ask for the warm encouragement of fans so that Park Bom can recover. Additionally, we would appreciate your support for Sandara Park, CL, and Gong Minji, who will do their best to ensure that Park Bom's absence is not felt."
Meanwhile, 2NE1, which includes Park Bom, announced their reunion on Oct. 4 last year through the "2024 2NE1 Concert [Welcome Back] in Seoul" at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park. Recently, they completed their Asia tour and are continuing their activities by participating in global events.
