The legendary folk group of Korea, 'C'est Si Bon,' featuring the 'original members 5' Son Chang-sik, Jo Young-nam, Yun Hyung-joo, Kim Se-hwan, and Lee Sang-byeok, will hold their final national tour 'C'est Si Bon, The Last Concert.'
The first and last nationwide tour concert where these five will come together in a complete form after 57 years will take place, starting on September 6 in Seongnam, and will be held in major cities across the country including Seoul on October 11, Busan, Incheon, Suwon, Goyang, Daegu, and Daejeon.
The concert planning company said, "This national tour [C'est Si Bon, The Last Concert] is the first time in C'est Si Bon's history that all five original members will perform together as a complete group after 57 years. It clearly differs from previous performances where only individuals or some members participated. As it has been officially announced as the 'final national tour,' it is expected to be a unique stage that will only happen once. Particularly, it is especially meaningful that Yun Hyung-joo and Son Chang-sik, known as 'the original of harmony duets,' will share the stage together after 55 years."
In addition, writer Kim Il-tae, who planned popular programs such as 'Saturday is Joyful,' '100 Minute Show,' and 'Saturday Promotion' during the heyday of C'est Si Bon members, will direct this concert to enhance its quality. They are putting in special efforts for this performance. Various programs are prepared, including videos that recreate the members' recent appearances using AI, collaborative stages with young artists, and a harmony corner celebrating 57 years of friendship. The opening and finale songs are also planned in a way that exceeds the audience's imagination.
This stage, which can be called the 'complete edition' of the C'est Si Bon concert, will reveal not only the hit songs that have provided joy and comfort for over half a century but also behind-the-scenes stories and videos among the members. The five individuals who sang of a generation's youth are ready to convey sincere farewells to the audience, just as they shared both music and friendship.
Meanwhile, this performance is drawing attention as Kim Seok, the legendary concert planner who first conceived the 'C'est Si Bon Friends' concert in the 2010s, will once again serve as the producer.
Kim Seok, the representative of the planning company 'Show Plus,' noted, "It was not easy to bring together five individuals, each with strong personalities and musical styles, on one stage. Nevertheless, I sincerely thank everyone for accepting the deep meaning of gathering the legends of 'C'est Si Bon Friends,' who led Korea's folk music golden age, together for the last time."
He continued, "This national tour will be a monumental moment in the history of Korean popular music, transcending mere performance. It is planned as a festival stage to comfort and record everyone's youth who lived through a certain era."
At the end of the 1960s, the music appreciation room 'C'est Si Bon' in Myeong-dong, Seoul, was a sought-after live stage for anyone wanting to perform as a folk singer. It was regarded as a 'nurturing ground for youth music' as artists like Son Chang-sik, Yun Hyung-joo, Kim Se-hwan, Jo Young-nam, Lee Sang-byeok, and Lee Jang-hee passed through.
Afterward, 'C'est Si Bon Friends' affected explosive reactions when they appeared on MBC's 'Come Play' in 2010, sparking the nationwide tour 'C'est Si Bon Fever.'
