The iconic scenes and lines from the movie "Omniscient Reader: The Prophet" have been revealed.
On the 5th, the team behind the film "Omniscient Reader: The Prophet" (directed by Kim Byeong-woo, produced by Lotte Entertainment and Smilegate, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, and produced by Realies Pictures, with co-production from MYM Entertainment, SmilegateRealies, and The Present Company, abbreviated as "Omniscient Reader") unveiled iconic scenes and lines designed to further stimulate the audience's desire for repeated viewings.
#1 "Kill more than one life form in this subway car"
"Omniscient Reader: The Prophet" is a fantasy action film where the world inside the novel becomes reality on the day the 10-year serialized novel concludes, and the sole reader, "Kim Dok-ja," survives the collapsed world alongside the protagonist, "Yoo Jung-hyuk," and his companions. As the world of the novel unfolds into reality before the only reader, "Kim Dok-ja" (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), it offers a unique and spectacular viewing experience. The sudden appearance of the goblin "Bi-hyung" in an ordinary subway during the commute presents a chilling scenario that marks the beginning of a grand story. The scenario "Kill more than one life form in this subway car" instantly throws the passengers into chaos. As the events of the novel he had known unfold before his eyes, "Kim Dok-ja" begins to navigate the difficulties using the plot of "Omniscient Reader: The Prophet" that only he knows. This impactful scene at the beginning of the film raises tension and shock, instantly enhancing the audience's immersion.
#2 "I know all the strategies," "Get to Chungmuro Station alive"
After the novel has turned into reality, the moment when the only one who knows the ending, "Kim Dok-ja," first encounters the protagonist, "Yoo Jung-hyuk" (played by Lee Min-ho), above Dongho Bridge is the beginning of another transition. Wanting to change the ending where only the protagonist survives, "Kim Dok-ja" reaches out, saying, "I know all the strategies; if you stick with me, the plot will be smooth sailing from here on out," but "Yoo Jung-hyuk" rebuffs him and gives him the new mission, "Get to Chungmuro Station alive." Although he has finally met the protagonist he has admired since his school days, "Yoo Jung-hyuk" has become cynical through repeated cycles. However, in order to write a new ending, "Kim Dok-ja" must team up with "Yoo Jung-hyuk." The intense first meeting between the two sets the stage for the unpredictable narrative and the chemistry they will develop further ahead, exciting the audience.
#3 "I, who was nothing, met a story and found companions; I will rewrite the ending of this story with my companions"
Rather than just the protagonist surviving, "Kim Dok-ja" and his fellow companions, "Yoo Sang-ah" (played by Chae Soo-bin), "Lee Hyun-seong" (played by Shin Seung-ho), "Jung Hee-won" (played by Nana), and "Lee Gil-young" (played by Kwon Eun-seong), collaborate to break the scenario. By the end, "Kim Dok-ja" reflects on the words, "I, who was nothing, met a story and found companions; I will rewrite the ending of this story with my companions" as he moves forward. Those who fought persistently with their companions, refusing to give up in a life-or-death scenario, realize that everyone must come together to survive as the plot unfolds repeatedly, eventually delivering a message of hope to the audience that they can write a new ending together, providing an unforgettable catharsis.
From the beginning to the end of the film, "Omniscient Reader: The Prophet" captivates audiences and leads them to repeated viewings. The film is currently being screened enthusiastically in theaters nationwide.
