The grand opening performance of the 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) will unfold at the BEXCO Auditorium.
On the 29th at 7 p.m., the opening performance of the 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF), hereafter referred to as 'Bukope', will feature the uniquely talented Park Myung-soo as the main MC responsible for a delightful opening. He is expected to ceremonially announce the beginning of Asia's largest comedy festival along with famous comedians from both domestic and international stages.
The opening performance of the 13th 'Bukope' will move from an outdoor venue to an indoor one, providing a more comfortable and immersive performance environment. This opening performance at the BEXCO Auditorium is expected to elevate the scale and completeness, proving its status as a 'world-class comedy festival'.
On the celebration stage, the female comedian and popular creator Lalala's alter ego 'Im Young-hwa, the landlord born in 1958' will perform an explosive stage with lively Trot music and audience engagement. Furthermore, a special opening performance by the team from the iconic South Korean comedy program 'Gag Concert' will follow, heating up the venue.
Additionally, the blue carpet, a symbol of 'Bukope', cannot be overlooked. The blue carpet event, which takes place prior to the official opening performance, will provide a special time where the audience and stars can interact closely. More than 100 renowned comedians from Korea and abroad, including top comedians from South Korea and international comedians from nine countries, as well as popular YouTube creators, will be in attendance. On that day, comedian Kim Dong-ha will host the blue carpet and further liven up the atmosphere.
During the gala show, a variety of performances will unfold, allowing a sneak peek of the festival's fun.
