On Aug. 23 (Sat), tvN will premiere the new weekend drama 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty' (directed by Jang Tae-yoo, written by fGRD, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Film Gurida, Jung Universe), a survival fantasy romantic comedy drama about a chef who time slips to the best moment in the past and encounters the worst tyrant and owner of an absolute sense of taste.
In the drama, Yeon Ji-young (played by Lim Yoon-a) is on the verge of becoming the head chef of a three-star restaurant after winning a French cooking competition when, due to certain circumstances, she unexpectedly lands in the past. Struggling to adapt to an unfamiliar time, Yeon Ji-young encounters the tyrant Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min) and fights to survive by captivating the gourmet tyrant's taste with her culinary expertise.
However, Lee Heon, who holds the lifeline of Yeon Ji-young, is not only the owner of an absolute sense of taste capable of detecting even the slightest difference in flavor but also possesses a sensitive nature that makes him hard to trust, foreshadowing a difficult journey ahead. It raises curiosity whether the chef Yeon Ji-young, dressed in an unusual outfit from the sky, can satisfy the tyrannical king Lee Heon's palate and survive.
