This week, the stories of the Miss Koreas who dominated an era will be explored in various ways. Kim Joo-hee, a former Miss Korea, will appear as a special guest to share behind-the-scenes stories from the Miss Korea competition and her vivid experiences.
The story of the 'Legendary Miss Korea' who showcased Korea's beauty to the world will be shared. Jang Yoon-jung, the winner of Miss Korea 1987, claimed second place in the 1988 'Miss Universe' pageant, becoming the first Asian to do so and writing a new chapter in 'Korean Beauty History.' Lee Kyung-kyu recalled Jang Yoon-jung's beauty at that time by noting, "She was 172 cm tall and had an Eastern face," which led historian Kim Jae-won to tease Lee Kyung-kyu with, "You seem to know the details very well?", bringing laughter to the audience. It is reported that Jang Yoon-jung's unparalleled beauty and elegance made a participant preparing for the Miss Korea competition that same year, now an actress, nervous, and the behind-the-scenes story will be revealed.
Additionally, Lee Kyung-kyu stated, "I have a deep connection with Miss Korea," as he revealed the story of hosting the 60th anniversary celebration of Miss Korea in 2016. Professor Seo Kyung-duk asked, "Did you go without pay?", which made Lee Kyung-kyu bristle. He shared his past experience of reporting on the Miss Korea dorms as a daily reporter, saying, "In 1992, I was the number one male celebrity Miss Korea wanted to meet," causing everyone to burst into laughter.
From conglomerates to top stars, the 'love stories' connected by the Miss Korea competition will be dramatically unveiled. Lee Hye-jeong, who won Miss Korea Miss Le Mans in 1986, participated in an international beauty contest held in Taiwan, where she fell in love with the eldest son of the Tan Group, the largest Chinese conglomerate in Asia at the time. The special connection that brought the two together, as well as the engagement ceremony that drew attention with its 30-carat diamond and expensive jewelry, along with stories of three wedding ceremonies, will be shared. Actor Choi Min-soo reportedly fell in love at first sight with Kang Joo-eun, a Miss Canada contestant in 1993, and the love story between former soccer player Ahn Jung-hwan and Lee Hye-won, which began on André Kim's fashion show runway, will also be revealed.
