Anchor Lee Seon-young conveyed her feelings about her resignation after 20 years.
On the 4th, Lee Seon-young posted a lengthy message on her social account saying, "I record a small farewell."
She mentioned, "It's been 20 years at the company, but the closing takes only two days. Haha, I said goodbye cheerfully while taking my last employee ID photo. Now, I'll leave it as a memory," and recorded a selfie taken in front of the KBS headquarters.
Lee Seon-young said, "Thank you so much for the support and encouragement you sent through text messages and social media... I want to sincerely respond to each heartfelt message you've sent. I even tried to reply to all of them. Those feelings have been a great strength to me... Thank you sincerely."
She continued, "These days, I am introduced as 'a complete bum,' and it means having nothing in white hands. Therefore, I am thinking of myself as '100 hands'~ If I do about a hundred things, won't I be able to accomplish something?" She added, "Anyway, for the time being, I want to take a break, record, and try one by one from the hundred things I wanted to do. Please recommend what you think was good or what comes to mind, and I'll share what I've tried."
Meanwhile, Lee Seon-young joined KBS as a public relations announcer in 2005 and has been active in various programs such as 'Entertainment Relay,' 'VJ Special Forces,' and 'Live Information.' However, she suddenly announced her resignation from KBS on the 31st of last month. She said, "I want to try rolling a bit, flying a bit, and resting as I live. I will never forget the love I received as a KBS announcer and the warm memories I will cherish deeply in my heart."
