Kang Ji-seob appeared in the entertainment program "Oh Eun-young Stay" broadcast on MBN on the afternoon of the 4th. Oh Eun-young, Ko So-young, and Moon Se-yoon recognized the actor and were pleased, asking about the nickname "The Scarlet Letter."
On this broadcast, Kang Ji-seob first explained, "I thought it was the right path, but it turned out to be the wrong one, so it's a scarlet letter that has been stamped due to ignorance."
Kang Ji-seob's appearance on the broadcast was his first in over two years since the allegations surrounding the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS) followers in 2023. At that time, after the release of the Netflix documentary "I Am God," suspicions arose that he was a follower of JMS, and he stated that he had left the group, but the backlash continued.
In an interview with the production team, Kang Ji-seob expressed his reason for making the appearance, saying, "Am I making it worse by talking about it? There are people who have forgotten and are asking, 'Was there such a thing?' Anyway, it's a matter that has to be addressed at least once."
Kang Ji-seob then commented on his belief in the controversial religion, stating, "I went there just to find peace of mind. I wanted to endure correctly. I didn't want to fall into something bad, reason, or alcohol, so I went there."
In particular, Kang Ji-seob revealed, "The women suffered physically, and the men were almost financially, through tithing. It was constant gaslighting."
