Singer Bada recently bowed her head regarding the controversial false advertising of a product. Bada's agency explained, "We shot according to the script provided by the production company."
On the 5th, Bada posted a handwritten apology on her Instagram, stating, "I sincerely apologize once again to everyone who was disappointed by this incident," and added, "In the future, I will stand before you with a more responsible attitude."
Earlier, Bada granted an appearance on a YouTube channel where she explained a product known as 'Australian wrinkle cream', mentioning, "I saw this friend (the controversial product) for the first time when I went to Australia before. It was famous."
However, there were allegations that the cosmetic in question was not actually from Australia and that it misled consumers with its 'Australian concept', despite being a product that does not exist in Australia. Consequently, Bada's statement that she "saw this product in Australia" also became a subject of controversy.
Bada stated, "I caused confusion among all of you who watched that channel with information that is not true," and added, "I sincerely reflect on the confusion and distrust this has caused many consumers and convey my heartfelt apologies."
Bada's agency, Wave Nine, stated, "It is an advertisement video shot according to the scenario provided by an external production company," and noted, "Bada did not receive any prior information regarding the actual distribution status or whether it was false or exaggerated, as the shoot was done according to the script."
They continued, "There was no intention to deliberately convey false information or deceive consumers," and added, "Nevertheless, we sincerely apologize on behalf of both the agency and the artist for causing confusion and distrust among consumers."
Wave Nine has currently notified the termination of cooperation with the channel, and has requested the cessation and deletion of all content featuring Bada.
