Actor Song Young-kyu's sudden passing has plunged his colleagues into sorrow. The production crew of the last project they worked on together expressed their condolences and remembered the late Song Young-kyu.
Song Young-kyu was found dead on the morning of 4th in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. He was 55 years old. No suicide note was found at the scene, and the police are reportedly investigating the exact circumstances of his death.
As news of the late Song Young-kyu's passing spread, condolences from his colleagues have continued. Actor Jang Hyuk-jin, who appeared in the late actor's final work 'Trial,' posted on social media that day, writing, "Hyung... it must have been very difficult, scary, and worrisome. I should have at least called... this world is really harsh," along with a photo to express his condolences.
Also, actors Jo Woo-jin, Choi Won-young, and Lee Gyu-hyung, who had worked together on a project or formed friendships with the late actor, as well as Kim Chang-ryeol from the group DJ DOC, wrote in the obituary, "We sincerely wish for the repose of the deceased's soul." The production team of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Trial: We Become Miracles,' which became the late Song Young-kyu's final work, stated, "The production staff expresses deep condolences upon hearing the sad news of the deceased and sincerely wish for the repose of the deceased's soul. We also extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family."
The late Song Young-kyu was reportedly caught driving 5 km while intoxicated in Giheung District, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, on June 19th. At that time, his blood alcohol concentration was reportedly at the level that would result in license revocation (0.08%).
Due to the controversy surrounding drunk driving, the late Song Young-kyu stepped down from the play 'Shakespeare in Love' that he was preparing for, and measures were taken to edit him out as much as possible from the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Trial' and the cable channel ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Defects.'

The funeral will be held at 8 a.m. on the 6th, and the burial site will be at the Hambeaksan Memorial Park.
