'Walking On Thin Ice' released its first teaser video, which captured extreme immersion and spectacular tension, making viewers' hearts race in just 30 seconds.
KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday miniseries 'Walking On Thin Ice,' set to premiere on September 20, tells the story of a parent, Kang Eun-soo, who wants to protect her family, and a teacher, Lee Kyung, who engages in a perilous partnership after acquiring a bag of drugs by chance.
'Walking On Thin Ice' is a well-made work that brings together director Song Hyun-wook, recognized as a craftsman of detail, and writer Jeon Young-shin, who boasts a high level of realism and delicate writing skills. With lead actors Lee Young-ae, Kim Kyung-kwang, and Park Yong-woo, along with acting talents like Bae Soo-bin, Jo Yeon-hee, and Hwang Jae-yeol, it is drawing attention as a highly anticipated work for the second half of the year.
The first teaser video released today (the 5th) compresses the arduous journey of Kang Eun-soo (played by Lee Young-ae) as she struggles to protect her ordinary life. It maximizes tension by showing Eun-soo, with a determined look in her eyes, opening the bag, and the relationship dynamics with Lee Kyung (played by Kim Kyung-kwang), who switches from a parent and teacher to a partnership in an instant.
The life-or-death motorcycle chase of Lee Young-ae and the fear looming in an unfamiliar space paradoxically reveal that Eun-soo's day is moving further away from a 'good day.' Notably, towards the end of the video, Eun-soo's line, 'Nothing happened,' as she smiles resignedly, foreshadows an impending tragedy, raising curiosity about the conclusion she will face.
The production team noted, 'The first teaser illustrates how Eun-soo's once-ordinary life is pushed to the brink and reveals the immense tragedy hidden behind her resignation.' They added, 'Even in the short video, Lee Young-ae's intricate emotional performance and the intense contrast created by Kim Kyung-kwang will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, making it impossible for them to let their guard down.'
KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday miniseries 'Walking On Thin Ice' will first air on Saturday, September 20, at 9:20 p.m.
