An accident resulting in the death of an audience member occurred at a concert by the British rock band Oasis.
According to foreign reports including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), during the Oasis concert held at Wembley Stadium in London on the 2nd (local time), a man in his 40s fell and died while watching the performance. Police received reports and dispatched emergency responders, but confirmed the death at the scene.
Wembley Stadium, where the accident occurred, is the largest stadium in the UK, capable of accommodating approximately 90,000 spectators. In this regard, the Korean National Police Agency issued a statement requesting information regarding the moment of the accident. Local police are considering the possibility that the fall was captured on audience members' mobile phone videos, as the stadium was very crowded due to the concert.
Oasis also issued a statement mourning the deceased. Oasis said, "We are all deeply shocked and saddened. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the person involved and their family and friends."
Oasis is a British pop band formed around brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, leading the British pop wave. Currently, they are meeting fans on their 'Oasis Live 25' reunion tour, marking the band's 25th anniversary. Notably, in October, they will perform in Goyang, South Korea, at Goyang Sports Complex, attracting attention for their first concert in Korea in 16 years.
