Actor Jung Il-woo recalled the time he appeared in 'High Kick Without Hesitation.'
On the 5th, in the KBS1 program 'Morning Yard' segment 'Tuesday Invitation,' main cast members Jung Il-woo and Jung In-sun of KBS2's new weekend drama 'Our Golden Days' grants shared various stories.
Jung Il-woo stated that he developed his dream of becoming an actor while in high school. He said, "I originally had no dream of being an actor. I accidentally joined the drama club in high school and ended up acting in 'Our Distorted Hero.' I practiced during summer vacation and performed at the festival, experiencing emotions I had never felt before in my life. Receiving cheers and acting as a character was an experience that expressed who I was, living timidly and introvertedly. I had no significant dreams until then, but my parents actively supported me. My older sister excelled in her studies, and the expectations were focused there, while they encouraged me to try what I wanted to do."
Jung Il-woo became a star as soon as he debuted. After appearing as Lee Yoon-ho in 'High Kick Without Hesitation,' he explained, "I made it through up to the 4th audition while preparing. The competition ratio was about 400:1. Thankfully, after I debuted, the work was successful, and I received a lot of love. I realized that actors become famous and loved as productions are filmed. However, as time passed, I realized that was not the case, and 'High Kick' became my life's work. With the pressure of my next works, I tried to prove myself in my 20s. I became stronger through various projects, experiencing both success and failure."
