Comedian Im Lara and Son Min-su revealed that all their fetal insurance applications were rejected during pregnancy.
On the 3rd, a new video was released on the YouTube channel 'Enjoy Couple' titled 'All twin fetal insurance applications were rejected after the precise ultrasound...'.
That day, the couple visited the hospital for a detailed ultrasound examination, where the doctor said, "The first baby is a boy and the second is a girl. They look fine, but the babies are still small, so we need to monitor them a bit more."
After finishing the precise ultrasound, the couple returned home, and Son Min-su was seen having a serious phone call, causing concern.
Standing in front of the camera, Son Min-su said, "This is a big problem. There is a small issue. In the end, all the insurance was rejected," revealing that all their twin babies' fetal insurance applications were denied, to which Im Lara asked, "It's not a small issue. I entrusted everything to you; what will we do if the most important thing doesn't go through?"
Son Min-su reassured Im Lara, saying, "It's okay. Our babies will be healthy," before explaining the reasons behind the rejection of their fetal insurance. He said, "Ultimately, all the insurance was rejected. The decisive factor was that he has a history of taking aspirin, which led all the insurance companies to deny coverage," to which Im Lara replied, "I didn't know that would be a stumbling block."
Im Lara stated, "I knew that having a prescription for aspirin would be unfavorable for the fetal insurance, but the doctor insisted that I must take aspirin to prevent pregnancy complications," and added, "I'm suddenly feeling down. Although I hope there won't be any issues later, I need insurance in case of unexpected situations, but if something happens, wouldn't that mean I wouldn't get any coverage?"
She added, "There are so many insurance companies that won't accept twins without a precise ultrasound image in the first place. From now on, we have no choice but to pray. We hope our babies are born safely without needing a neonatal intensive care unit or facing any serious problems."
Meanwhile, Enjoy Couple married in May 2023 after dating for nine years. After over two years of infertility, they announced the news of their twin pregnancy and are expecting to give birth in October.
