The 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) held the launch ceremony for 'Kobongs'.
On 1st, the 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF), hereinafter referred to as 'Bukope', successfully held the launch ceremony for the volunteer group 'Kobongs' ahead of the festival's opening. 'Kobongs' serves as a symbol of Bukope and has been a reliable partner that leads the event every year.
A total of 34 'Kobongs' volunteers attended the launch ceremony, and Executive Director Kim Jun-ho and Chief Programmer Jo Yoon-ho participated to kick off preparations for the festival. Along with the ceremony, basic training for each team was systematically conducted, providing a meaningful time to enhance the volunteers' understanding of their roles.
The launch ceremony was hosted by Chief Programmer Jo Yoon-ho. Additionally, Executive Director Kim Jun-ho personally delivered Bukope's official merchandise to the two representatives of 'Kobongs', conveying congratulatory messages and words of encouragement, which warmed the atmosphere at the event. Lee Yeol-ki, head of sales at Muhak, also attended to personally thank and encourage the volunteers.
In the subsequent sections, programs such as 'Comedy Street', 'Comedy Open Concert', and 'Gag Pay' that will bring laughter to the audience this year were introduced, along with practical basic training for volunteers including emergency first aid and sexual harassment prevention training, ensuring thorough preparation for the event. After completing all the training, 'Kobongs' divided specific tasks and exchanged greetings within teams, solidifying their sense of responsibility and mission as part of the 13th Bukope.
Meanwhile, the 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) will be held for ten days from August 29 (Fri) to September 7 (Sun) throughout Busan. The 'Gag Concert' team, a foundational program of Korean comedy, will perform at the opening event, while the closing performance titled 'I Am a Dog Singer', featuring MC Lee Hong-ryeol and various comedians, will conclude the festival. These performances will provide explosive stages that blend comedy and music, offering the audience both deep laughter and refreshing fun to relieve summer stress.
