'YADANG: The Snitch' has unveiled an extended version, 'YADANG: The Snitch Extended Cut', with approximately 15 additional minutes, through still cuts.
On April 4, the film 'YADANG: The Snitch Extended Cut' (directed by Hwang Byeong-guk, provided/distributed by Plus M Entertainment, produced by HYBE Media Corp) released stills that preview the added scenes.
'YADANG: The Snitch Extended Cut' is a crime action film unfolding the intertwined stories of a prosecutor yearning for higher ground, a broker shaking up drug investigations, and a detective who risks everything to eradicate drug crime.
The released stills feature prosecutor Gu Kwan-hee (You Hae-jin), exhausted from his tasks. A narrow and chaotic office and cluttered piles of documents reveal his reality of desiring higher ground due to his limitations as a local university graduate. We also see Lee Kang-soo (Kang Ha-neul), who is active as 'YADANG', eavesdropping on the conversation of drug trafficking organization leader Go Heung-sik inside a detention center. Additionally, Chang-rak (Lim Seong-kyun) is seen beside Lee Kang-soo, raising curiosity about their hidden narrative.
Through Gu Kwan-hee's confession to Lee Kang-soo, who brings him results, breaking down boundaries, expectations are heightened for the unique story of 'YADANG: The Snitch Extended Cut' that sheds light on the desire for power and downfall from the perspective of prosecutor Gu Kwan-hee. Detective Oh Sang-jae (Park Hae-joon) from the drug investigation unit faces difficulties in investigations due to Lee Kang-soo's tricks but still shows determination in front of Gu Kwan-hee, who intimidates him, amplifying anticipation for the upcoming events within their intertwined relationships.
Even before the investigation, Jo Hoon (Ryu Kyung-soo) is filled with anger towards the situation instead of reflection, showing his traits as a villain and adding a chilling aura. As Lee Kang-soo, Oh Sang-jae, Eom Soo-jin (Chae Won-bin), and their ally Chang-rak unite under a single goal of revenge, expectations rise for a cathartic release as they announce the start of retaliation. In particular, Eom Soo-jin seems to have opened her heart to Chang-rak, adding hope to their journey of revenge. However, Oh Sang-jae, shocked after witnessing a mysterious accident, hints at another incident looming ahead of them.
'YADANG: The Snitch Extended Cut' is expected to once again capture the hearts of audiences this summer. It is set to premiere on the 6th.
