She is not the 'Dex' from Single's Inferno, but actress Shin Seul-ki. After successfully wrapping up the KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Eagle Five,' she shared her heartfelt thoughts on the conclusion.
In her role as 'Dokgo Se-ri,' Shin Seul-ki portrayed delicate emotional lines and stated, "The time I lived as Se-ri was truly a special experience both as an actress and as a person," adding, "I felt that the process of Se-ri gradually finding her own values and self-identity was particularly important."
She also mentioned that she deeply contemplated the character's style changes, saying, "I hoped that there would be a clear distinction between the early and later Se-ri. I changed my hairstyle to a bob cut for an external transformation, and I took care to gradually alter the styling as well," expressing her affection for the character.
She reminisced about the time spent with her fellow actors, saying, "The seniors felt like real parents, which heightened my emotional immersion. On days without filming, we remained in touch often, and I grew very attached. I particularly remember the parting scene between Se-ri and Dokgo Tak where just making eye contact brought tears to my eyes," expressing her affection.
Regarding her memories with fellow actors, she conveyed, "The set was so warm that the seniors felt like my real parents. Particularly, during the parting scene between Dokgo Tak and me, just making eye contact was enough to bring tears," sharing her heartfelt emotions.
As someone who took on the challenge of a long 54-episode project for the first time, Shin Seul-ki remarked, "At first, I was very worried and nervous, but every moment living as Se-ri was enjoyable. When I heard the news of the extension, I felt gratitude thinking, 'So many people truly love our drama,' and I wanted to repay that love until the end."
In conclusion, Shin Seul-ki said, "It was truly a warm and valuable time to be able to share the 54-episode journey with such wonderful seniors. I feel a deep sense of regret that it has already ended, but I think it will remain in memory for a long time as a work that made me feel and received so much love."
