Comedian Lee Seung-yun mentioned the grants for the rebroadcast of 'I Am a Natural Person.'
On the 3rd, in the MBN entertainment show 'Altoran,' Lee Seung-yun appeared as a guest and shared his daily life.
Lee Seung-yun has been consistently appearing on MBN's flagship program 'I Am a Natural Person,' earning him the title of MBN's son. 'Altoran' member Chef Lee Yeon-bok showed interest by saying, "Isn't 'Natural Person' frequently rebroadcast?" In response, Cha Yu-na also expressed curiosity, noting, "I heard the grants are quite significant."
"It's because it airs once a year," Lee Seung-yun began, revealing, "The amount is equivalent to a medium-sized car." This statement drew surprise. When Park Sung-kwang asked, "I heard you bought a house with that," Lee Seung-yun added, "It's been over 10 years. I even bought my parents' house."
Park Sung-kwang then revealed Lee Seung-yun's reaction when he started 'I Am a Natural Person.' He said, "I know. The day after the first filming, we met. It was during the time we were doing 'Gag Concert.' I still remember it. I was on the rooftop, my face was darkened, and I said, 'I've created a disaster with this lousy program. I messed up.'" This made everyone laugh.
Astonished, Lee Seung-yun exclaimed, "What are you talking about?" However, 'Altoran' MC Lee Sang-min commented, "At that time, 'I Am a Natural Person' was famous for its difficult filming."
Lee Seung-yun confessed, "Honestly, I said I wouldn't do it. I told Sung-kwang, 'I won't go to ('Natural Person') from next week.' As many know, it was really tough during the first episode." In fact, during the first filming of 'I Am a Natural Person,' Lee Seung-yun had to eat fish head curry, which is still talked about today, and he made a horrified expression that has been repeatedly shared as a meme.
In relation to this, Lee Seung-yun recalled, "I told Sung-kwang that it was so lousy I couldn't continue. I wondered, do I have to go home?" He explained, "But the production team persuaded me during the first episode. They said, 'You ate fish head during the first episode, so what worse could come?' They told me, 'Let's just go.' And in the second episode, they served me a roe deer liver, which shocked me even more."
Eventually, he said, "I really couldn't do it anymore. So I said I wouldn't do it," waving his hands dismissively. However, the ratings were different. Lee Seung-yun laughed as he shared, "The fish head from the first episode aired and achieved the highest ratings in the history of cable channels. That's why I called to say I would do it," adding, "It's now been 14 years."
