Sean 'Diddy' Combs, a famous American rapper known as Puff Daddy, has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a minor, and President Donald Trump mentioned his potential pardon.
On Dec. 2 (local time), President Trump, in an interview with Newsmax, stated, "Diddy was essentially half not guilty. It's baffling that he is still in jail. He celebrated his victory on his own, but it seems like it wasn't a perfect victory."
Reports earlier suggested that President Trump is seriously considering a pardon for Diddy. It was said that Diddy's associates reached out personally to the president, with whom they have a friendship. However, President Trump seems to be avoiding giving specific answers regarding Diddy's pardon.
President Trump and Diddy are known to have formed a friendship in the social circles of New York during the 2000s. However, Diddy has voiced critical remarks following President Trump's first term.
In response, President Trump expressed discomfort, saying, "We were very close and got along well. I didn't know him very well, but he seemed like a good guy. However, when I ran for election, he became very hostile. Don't you dislike for your judgment to become clouded? I can't believe someone I knew would make such terrible comments."
Meanwhile, last year, attorney Tony Busby claimed that over a span of 30 years, Diddy sexually assaulted 25 minors, including a 9-year-old child. He represented 120 victims in a civil lawsuit regarding Diddy's horrific allegations.
The victim, who was 9 years old at the time, claimed that while she was at an audition, Diddy promised her and her parents a record deal, after which she was sexually abused by Diddy and studio personnel. A 15-year-old girl revealed that she was raped in Diddy's private room in New York.
Busby emphasized, "We will expose those who made this behavior possible in secret. Regardless of who the evidence implicates, we will continue to push this issue. We have collected photographs, videos, texts, and other evidence. Many powerful individuals and numerous dirty secrets will be revealed."
In response, Diddy's side denied the allegations, asserting his innocence. In a statement, they said, "The claims that Diddy sexually abused anyone, including minors, are false and defamatory. We firmly deny it. Combs hopes to prove his innocence and justify himself in court, and the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation."
Diddy is currently incarcerated in Brooklyn, New York, under charges related to prostitution, extortion, and other offenses.
