Earlier, the cast list for "Crayon Shin-chan 25," which was released on the 25th of last month, raised curiosity as it was missing the name of voice actress Kang Hee-sun, who has voiced Miss Bong since 1999.
Regarding the voice actress change, some netizens speculate that Kang Hee-sun might have left due to health issues.
Kang Hee-sun, who appeared on tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" last year, noted, "Actually, it's been 4 years. I had a problem with my colon during a health check-up, which spread to my liver. There were about 17 spots. I received chemotherapy 47 times," revealing that she is battling cancer.
Kang Hee-sun said, "After receiving chemotherapy, my voice doesn't return that week after I'm discharged. The next week, the voice returns. So I would go and record then. After the last surgery, I told the producer, 'I cannot do Shin-chan's mother anymore. Please change the voice actress.' He said he would delay the scheduling.
