According to a report on Dec. 1 (local time) by Taiwan's ET Today, producer Wang Weizhong, who has contracted Seohuiwon's sisters under his company and maintained a familial relationship with them, expressed concern regarding Seohuiwon's mother during a press conference for a new work held that day, saying, "Seohuiwon's mother still needs help."
Recently, the current situation of Koo Jun-yeob spending time visiting Seohuiwon's grave at Jinbaosan, where she is buried, was revealed by internet users, moving many people. In response to questions about the current status of Koo Jun-yeob and Seohuiwon's mother, Wang Weizhong said, "The sorrow still remains. I continue to care. Such matters require the help of friends, faith, community, and doctors. I also offered advice to Seohuiwon's mother. She is still in need of help."
Regarding reports that Seohuiwon's younger sister, Seohuije, who has currently suspended all activities, is set to return in October, he said, "I didn't discuss that story. Meanwhile, the late Seohuiwon passed away on Feb. 2 in a hospital in Tokyo, Japan. She departed for Japan with her family for a trip on the 29th of last month, but on the third day of the trip, she was taken to the emergency room and ultimately passed away due to pneumonia caused by influenza. Afterward, her family laid her to rest at Jinbaosan in Taiwan.
In particular, Koo Jun-yeob has not shown himself in public since his wife's death, and it is reported that he has recently lost nearly 12 kg.
