'Dreaming Youth Band' Catch the Young heated up the 'Pentaport' stage for the second consecutive year, exciting summer listeners.
Catch the Young (Sani, Gi-hun, Nam-hyun, Jun-yong, Jung-mo) took the stage at the '2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival (hereafter 'Pentaport')' held at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Yeonsu District, Incheon, on 1st.
On the stage on 1st, the day of the 'Pentaport' event, Catch the Young showcased their healthy youth energy and solid band live performance, demonstrating the presence of a perfected band. The concert began with the new song 'Ideal Type,' which featured retro rock riffs and bouncy synthesizers. From the opening, Catch the Young naturally guided the audience's applause and sing-along, igniting the atmosphere.
The subsequent performances of 'My Own Way' and 'Talking To Myself' flexibly unveiled different soundscapes and emotions, clearly expressing the team's identity. In particular, the stages for 'Dream It' and 'The Legend' showcased Catch the Young's unique narrative sound and solid band harmony. The performances that confronted the anxieties and passions of youth transcended mere listening experiences and transformed into an immersive and enjoyable concert for the audience.
During the cover stage of Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now,' Catch the Young reached the peak of stage dominance with their unique charm and energy, and in the final song 'YOUTH!!!', the enthusiastic sing-along from the audience crowned the concert's highlights.
Engaging with the audience, Catch the Young poured their youthful energy onto the stage, once again solidifying their status as a 'performance band' and 'live-specialized band.' Without elaborate choreography or excessive staging, Catch the Young led cheers from the audience through music and messaging alone, fully proving the band's unique appeal in the moment.
In particular, the experience of leading a sing-along from the audience during a sudden audio interruption at a recent busking in Sinchon translated into a natural ease and stable stage manners during this large performance. At this 'Pentaport,' Catch the Young displayed a considerably strengthened stage presence based on that rapport.
Meanwhile, actively engaged in university festivals, solo performances, and street busking, Catch the Young plans to further expand their identity as a 'youth band' with big stages, including the 'Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival (JUMF)' this month and the 'Sound Planet Festival' in September.
