Ahn Sun-young released a video titled "Please Stop" on her YouTube channel "This Is Ahn Sun-young" on the 2nd.
In the video, Ahn Sun-young said, "It's not easy to be a YouTuber, and today's topic is just that. Our director has caused an incident. I guess I must be famous. I appeared on a portal site and on the 9 o'clock news. I thought I was someone who illegally escaped the military or secretly immigrated. From the number of articles, I am rapidly rising to the level of BLACKPINK in terms of controversy, and I want to summarize two issues regarding Ahn Sun-young.
Firstly, regarding the topic of 'Ahn Sun-young is immigrating', Ahn Sun-young commented, "There is a packing video for Canada, which had the subtitle 'Ahn Sun-young is leaving Korean soil.' The director said, 'These days, YouTube is all about hooking,' and put out a sensational article, but if you see the content, it's not immigration but relocation."
Ahn Sun-young said, "Honestly, I had a lot of hard times last year. First of all, my mother had another stroke and her dementia worsened to the point where home care was no longer possible. And since it's a small company, we cook together for lunch every day, but one employee, whom I considered family, embezzled a significant amount of company funds. Now, they are under investigation for embezzlement, and the amount involved is in the hundreds of millions of won, which is something a small company like ours cannot handle. It's not just about the money; I have worked with this person for four years, and three years and seven months of that time involved embezzlement. More than the money, I was passionately striving to become a professional manager in business, yet I realized that I have no talent as a manager, and I am neither a proper daughter nor a successful person. I felt like I would fail as a mother if my child went abroad to study with only their father in this situation."
Ahn Sun-young added, "It's not about the high home shopping appearance fees or the benefits I receive, but rather, I thought that the most important thing is to spend time with my growing child. It has been so difficult for a single person to manage everything. Looking back through four years of accounting books and seeing how poor I am as a manager has been hard. I couldn't even realize that someone I considered family had been embezzling for a long time, and it made me feel empty. The sense of betrayal is enormous, and the wounds are deep. I didn't want to go to the company, and I developed a trauma where I couldn't even look at the faces of other innocent employees, so I made my birthday party this year quite extravagant to avoid feeling down all year long."
Ahn Sun-young said, "I can't give up on my child, nor can I abandon my obligations to the company and those who remain, or my minimal obligations to my career and dopamine, so I expressed my determination as a new YouTuber that I need to come back to Korea once a month. But the articles came out sensationally. I experienced an unexpected major incident while running a business, and I think it's good to spend time with my child and take a break to reorganize myself during such times. I have no thoughts of immigrating whatsoever. I plan to work while going back and forth for about two years. I am not going to immigrate."
