Jin successfully concluded his fan concert U.S. tour.
BTS Jin held the fan concert '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in U.S.' to a special meeting with over 90,000 spectators across four cities, starting from Anaheim on the 17th (local time), followed by Dallas, Tampa, and Newark with a total of eight performances.
Jin's U.S. tour garnered a lot of attention along with various new records. His fan concert attracted the largest audience ever for a Korean artist concert held at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The performance at the American Airlines Center in Dallas sold out all seats, proving overwhelming ticket power as the first time for a Korean solo artist.
The praise from foreign media continued. The Los Angeles Times noted, "Jin demonstrated a master class in fan communication at the Honda Center. His performance was planned like a special love letter sent to fans, containing delightful and sophisticated energy." They added, "Jin communicates with fans in an attractive way and conveys his sincerity. This is why fans love him. The solo performances of BTS members exemplify that they possess independent power and charms beyond being part of the group."
The U.S. economic magazine Forbes reported, "Jin showcased stable vocals even in complex high notes. He proved to be a powerful vocalist beyond just 'handsome looks' with a wide vocal range and control of high notes." They also mentioned the scene where global fans sang along to the Korean lyrics of 'Spring Day,' saying, "Jin paused the song, looked at the audience, and embraced that moment fully. This performance was staged with the intention for the audience to enjoy and play freely."
This fan concert was structured to expand the world view of the original content 'Run, Seokjin,' presented through BTS's official YouTube channel. An unusual opening where he walked out between screens and shouted, "Challenge!" combined with a live stage crossing over between ballad and rock elicited enthusiastic responses from the audience. Games and dressing events with fans highlighted Jin's friendly charm even further.
Jin will start his European tour at The O2 Arena in London, England, from the 5th to the 6th. He will leave a significant record in concert history by being the first Korean solo artist to perform on that stage.
