The group ILLIT's new song has been partially released as a Japanese advertisement commercial song.
On the 2nd, according to Billip Lab, ILLIT's first Japanese single 'Toki Yo Tomare' (original title 時よ止まれ/Toki Yo Tomare) includes the track 'Topping', which has been selected as the ad music for the new sneaker collection of the global fashion brand Lacoste Japan. ILLIT is currently active as ambassadors for Lacoste Japan.
On that day, Lacoste Japan released an advertisement video containing part of the song 'Topping' on its official website. The video features the members' clear vocal tones and bouncy melodies, creating a lively atmosphere. The excited expressions of the members preparing to go out together heightened curiosity about the complete track.
'Topping' is a pop song that expresses the various emotions of a girl about to go on her first date, composed and written by singer-songwriter noa, who is known for the original track 'Any Angle' that caused a sensation on short-form platforms centered around TikTok. The collaboration between ILLIT, known as a 'short-form powerhouse', and noa is expected to receive enthusiastic responses from local fans.
The first Japanese single 'Toki Yo Tomare' by ILLIT, set to be released on September 1, not only features noa but also involves the popular Japanese singer-songwriter Mulasaki Ima. Mulasaki Ima, who made waves on overseas social media with last year's release 'Ma-Seong-ui Yeoja A (魔性の女A)', is responsible for writing the title track 'Toki Yo Tomare', expected to elevate the song's trendy appeal.
Additionally, ILLIT continues to target the tastes of fans worldwide, including those aged 10 to 20, by launching limited editions and items in collaboration with the globally popular character 'Care Bears'.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will hold a fan concert '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN' on the 10th and 11th at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, meeting with local fans.
