In the first broadcast of the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Mary Kills People' on the 1st (planned by Kwon Sung-chang, directed by Park Jun-woo, scripted by Lee Soo-a), Jo Hyun-woo (played by Lee Min-ki) was depicted requesting euthanasia from Woo So-jung (played by Lee Bo-young).
That day, Choi Kang-yoon (played by Lee Sang-yoon) left a video stating, 'I, Choi Kang-yoon, am now going to end my life. This entire process was my choice, and I am very happy and satisfied at this moment.' In response, Woo So-jung said, 'If you are not mentally prepared, you don't have to do it today. You can postpone it or stop.' However, Choi Kang-yoon declared, 'No. I want to go now before the pain arrives.'
Woo So-jung added medication to champagne and handed it over, and when Choi Kang-yoon asked, 'Is it simple? How long does it take?' she replied, 'It usually ends in an instant.' After Choi Kang-yoon passed away, Woo So-jung said, 'Let's go quickly. You came here after much struggle, but it feels too sticky.'
However, Choi Kang-yoon, who was thought to be dead, woke up again, and the two contemplated whether to save the patient or not. In the end, Woo So-jung picked up the pillow and, at Choi Kang-yoon's words of 'Just do it,' she completed the patient's request, saying, 'I'm sorry.'
Meanwhile, Baek Ui-won (played by Yoo Seung-mok) pressured Ahn Tae-seong (played by Kim Tae-woo) to catch the person who killed his son. When Ahn Tae-seong said, 'Arresting him in the act is the best option,' Baek Ui-won expressed his anger, stating, 'My child has suddenly gone without even saying goodbye. This is murder.'
On the other hand, Woo So-jung met with the client Jo Hyun-woo alongside assistant Choi Dae-hyun (Kang Ki-young). When Jo Hyun-woo, who arrived on a motorcycle, said, 'Are you Mr. Jo Hyun-woo? I saw your medical records. You must be having a hard time,' she approached him.
Jo Hyun-woo stated, 'I heard you would consult me. You provide different advice from ordinary people. I heard you give help received in Switzerland,' and added, 'I can pay the expenses that I've learned from Yena (played by Yoon Ga-i). I'm working like this.'
Woo So-jung responded, 'Soon, it will be hard to bear with any painkillers. Working like this is dangerous.' However, Jo Hyun-woo said, 'I must pass this interview for you to help me. I heard it's not unconditional help,' and he left, saying, 'Whatever the result is, please let me know. I'm used to rejections.'
As the investigation net was progressing towards Woo So-jung and Choi Dae-hyun, Jo Hyun-woo had an accident while riding a motorcycle. Despite Woo So-jung's attempts to stop him, he went back outside, collapsed on the road, and pleaded with Woo So-jung, who came to find him, 'Please help me. I want to stop. Stop.'
