Recently, singer Kim Jeong-min, who announced the news of her mother's passing, has donated the entire condolence money sent by her fans.
On the 1st, according to the Korea Blood Cancer Association (KBDCA), Kim Jeong-min donated 3.5 million won along with the fan club "Kim Jeong-min and Friends" to help patients suffering from blood diseases and cancer.
The donation comes from the condolence money collected by the fan club to mourn the recent passing of Kim Jeong-min's mother. Kim Jeong-min stated, "As we bid farewell to my mother, I wanted to return the warm condolences sent by many fans to the patients as hope," and added, "I hope the spirit of sharing and love that my mother always emphasized can be a small but warm support to the patients."
Kim Jeong-min is currently serving as an ambassador for the Korea Blood Cancer Association. Last year, she also donated 10 million won for blood cancer patients.
In response, the Korea Blood Cancer Association noted, "The warm intentions of Ambassador Kim Jeong-min and her fan club will be a great comfort to the patients," adding, "This donation will be used entirely for the treatment costs of blood disease and cancer patients who are struggling to continue treatment due to financial difficulties."
Meanwhile, Kim Jeong-min's mother passed away on the 27th of last month at the age of 94. Kim Jeong-min expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thanks to everyone who came all the way to support us during my mother's funeral, we were able to complete the ceremony without any issues. I apologize if there are those who did not receive a thank you message individually, but I wanted to convey my gratitude even if it's just like this. Thank you once again for mourning with us and encouraging us as we remain."
