ILLIT announced a historic collaboration with the globally popular character 'Care Bears.'
According to their agency, Belift Lab, the limited edition of ILLIT's (Yoona, Minju, Mocha, Wonhee, Iroha) first Japanese single 'Toki Yo Tomare' (original title 時よ止まれ/Toki Yo Tomare) will be released on September 3.
The images released together show ILLIT dressed in pure white outfits, exuding a dreamy atmosphere, alongside Care Bears characters embodying the five members. The 'ILLIT X Care Bears' characters, highlighting each member's individuality and traits, capture attention with ILLIT's charming and vibrant sensibility.
Care Bears, the representative character of American Greetings celebrating its 43rd anniversary this year, has gained worldwide affection through an animated TV series and movies. Care Bears noted, 'ILLIT consists of members with different colors coming together to create synergy and spread positive energy. Care Bears also bring happiness and hope to people with our distinctive characters. We look forward to the special collaboration between ILLIT and Care Bears, which share commonalities.'
In addition to the limited edition, limited items such as dolls and keychains created in collaboration with ILLIT and Care Bears will be available. These can be found at a Care Bears pop-up store at Laforet Harajuku, running from September 9 to 24.
Meanwhile, ILLIT's first Japanese single 'Toki Yo Tomare' captures the sparkling moment of youth that one wishes would never end, featuring a total of four tracks. This single includes contributions from Japanese popular singer-songwriter Murasaki Ima and Noa, who have made waves in the global short-form music scene. ILLIT has proven to be a 1020 icon leading trends through collaborations with popular artists as well as global characters, appealing to the tastes of Generation Z worldwide.
ILLIT's first Japanese single's digital audio and music video will be released on September 1. The physical albums, including the Care Bears limited edition, will be released on September 3.
