Our Golden Days has released a comprehensive trailer announcing the start of its tumultuous journey.
KBS 2TV's new weekend drama Our Golden Days (directed by Kim Hyung-seok / written by So Hyun-kyung / produced by Studio Coming Soon, Studio Bom, Monster Union) tells the story that 'everyone has their golden days, whether now, in the past, or in the future. It explores the generational empathy surrounding these golden days, which are met with different meanings.'
The comprehensive trailer released on the 1st begins with a scene in which Ji Eun-oh (played by Jung In-sun) shyly confesses, 'I like you, senior.' Soon after, Lee Ji-hyuk (played by Jung Il-woo) firmly states, 'Marriage is not a necessity in this era.' As the contrasting attitudes of the two foreshadow the challenging romance to come, Eun-oh openly reveals her honest feelings and continues her one-sided love for Ji-hyuk. Meanwhile, another person, Park Sung-jae (played by Yoon Hyun-min), shows an unusual feeling toward Eun-oh.
Following this, a humorous scene unfolds as the family celebrates Lee Sang-cheol's (played by Chun Ho-jin) retirement. In contrast, Sang-cheol expresses his bittersweet feelings succinctly by saying, 'What a beautiful fall it is,' as he watches the fluttering flower petals, leaving a lingering impression. Additionally, Ji-hyuk throwing in his resignation, Lee Ji-wan (played by Son Sang-yeon) pushing a gym member and becoming unemployed, and Lee Soo-bin (played by Shin Soo-hyun) being looked down upon for being jobless each vividly capture the realistic struggles of different generations, evoking empathy.
The cheerful atmosphere soon shifts to tension. Sang-cheol yelling at Jo Ok-rye (played by Ban Hyo-jung) and his wife Kim Da-jung (played by Kim Hee-jung) upon being startled by a sudden bundle of cash foreshadows the family conflict. In particular, the confrontation between Ji-hyuk and Sang-cheol intensifies, marking the beginning of generational clashes and further escalating the drama's tension.
Towards the end of the video, Ji-hyuk and Eun-oh each appear as they receive shocking proposals, illustrating unpredictable developments. Eun-oh is commissioned by Go Sung-hee (played by Lee Tae-ran) for a generous amount of interior design work, while Ji-hyuk receives a shocking proposal of 'a marriage without love.' Their choices, standing at a crossroads in life, amplify curiosity about the potential ramifications for future developments.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's new weekend drama Our Golden Days will air its first episode on Aug. 9 (Saturday) at 8 p.m., following 'For Eagle Brothers.'
