Actor Kim Ho-young revealed the story of how he disposed of all 5,000 printed copies of his essay.
On July 31, a video titled 'Kim Ho-young reading performance HOT debut. Perfectly embodying the dual roles of Jekyll and Hyde (and even embracing Gukbap...)' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Too Much Kim Ho-young.' In the video, Kim Ho-young chatted with colleagues at a Gukbap restaurant after finishing a rehearsal.
Kim Ho-young brought up the story of the essay he published to mark his 20th anniversary debut. He said, "While other actors are having concerts, I wrote a book. This is the story of Kim Ho-young, the person, not just the actor. It's just self-promotion," which brought laughter.
He continued, "There is a law of unchanging typos. No matter how many times I review it, there are always typos," and noted, "The name of my close friend Lee Tae-rin was printed incorrectly. Since she is such an important friend, I couldn't accept it. After much contemplation, I ultimately disposed of all 5,000 copies."
However, in the reprinted book, another person's name was also incorrect. Kim Ho-young said, "I just let that one go. I didn't have the confidence to dispose of them again," and added, "In any case, it all comes out of my royalties. I have to cover all of that."
