The group ARrC has targeted global fandom together with popular creators from Brazil.
ARrC (Andy, Choi Han, Doha, Hyunmin, Jibin, Kkien, Riot) released its original content 'Fala JIBEEN e Disuki!' featuring member Jibin's older brother and creator Jiseok through its official YouTube channel on the 29th.
'Fala JIBEEN e Disuki!' is about Jibin, who spent more time in Korea thanks to his childhood move from Brazil, learning about cultural differences and Portuguese together with his older brother Jiseok, who is fluent in Portuguese. After the first episode, Jibin's Portuguese has improved significantly, and the cover video of Charlie Brown Jr.'s 'Dias De Luta, Dias De Glória' presented at that time has surpassed 2 million views, receiving enthusiastic responses from fans worldwide.
In this episode, all members of ARrC, including Jibin, participated fully. In a friendly atmosphere, the members conducted quizzes related to Brazil, covering traditional dishes, music, and soccer, and shared a time to learn about local culture and language while drinking guaraná, a local beverage Jibin loves and enjoys.
Talk about their mini album 'HOPE' was also held. Hyunmin confidently introduced the album, saying, "It is a masterpiece that came out after a lot of practice and consideration among the members." Then, members Choi Han and Hyunmin introduced each track, including 'dawns', which they participated in writing lyrics, and 'kick back', based on the Brazilian genre bossa nova, reinforcing ARrC's unique musical strengths.
In particular, ARrC added interest by revealing that the point dance 'tá bom' for the title track 'awesome' originated from Portuguese. Jiseok hinted, "There are many fun elements that Brazilian fans will enjoy in the music video for 'awesome', so I recommend you check them out," sparking curiosity. ARrC also sang the lyrics of 'awesome' in the local language, creating a deeper bond with global viewers.
In closing the episode, Jibin conveyed in fluent Portuguese, "I really enjoyed everything. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did," showcasing their efforts. The other members also expressed their gratitude and impressions in Portuguese, creating a warm atmosphere.
In response, global fans are sending enthusiastic reactions such as, "I can see that you practiced hard, and it looks amazing. Portuguese is not easy, but it seems like you're doing well," and "I hope to see ARrC in Brazil soon."
Recently, ARrC released their mini album 'HOPE'. 'HOPE' showcases a unique charm that blends mystical Eastern symbols like goblins and talismans with hype hip-hop. They have recently been selected as the K-Pop Rookie of the Month for July by Billboard Korea.
Meanwhile, among the members of ARrC, Hyunmin, Choi Han, Andy, and Doha will appear on EBS Radio's 'Idol Korean' today (1st) at 4 p.m., showcasing their cheerful conversations alongside the radio DJ and company senior Billie Moon Sua and Suhyun.
